2nd Annual Binghamton Summer Film

BINGHAMTON, NY - The 2nd Annual Binghamton Summer Film will begin this year on July 10th at NYSEG Stadium with “Field of Dreams”. Today, Broome County Executive Barbara J. Fiala was joined by Scotty Brown of the Binghamton Mets, Dr. Peggy Wozniak, Superintendent of Binghamton City Schools and Lawrence Kassan, Director of the Rod Serling Video Festival, for a news conference at NYSEG Stadium to announce this year's movie schedule.

“Binghamton Summer Film was a big hit last season and we are excited for this year's featured films,” said Executive Fiala, standing in the infield of NYSEG Stadium. “I encourage more families to come and enjoy this year's summer films. Admission is free thanks to our generous local sponsors: Neman Development Group, Hinman Howard and Kattell, and Security Mutual.”

“Last year movie goers really enjoyed watching a flick on the new mammoth video screen in right field,” said Scott Brown, BMETS General Manager. “We were pleased to partner with the county to provide free family entertainment here at NYSEG Stadium.”

“Both the county and the Binghamton Mets, along with the local sponsors have created a great event for children and families to attend over the summer,” commented Binghamton City Schools Superintendent Dr. Peggy Wozniak.

“The Rod Serling Video Festival is excited to coordinate “Binghamton Summer Film”, said Larry Kassan. “Prior to each feature film we will be screening award winning entries from the video festival showcasing the work of young filmmakers from in and around Broome County.”
