Broome County Announces Electronic Recycling Collections
BINGHAMTON, NY - Broome County Executive Jeffrey Kraham and the Division of Solid Waste Management announce two upcoming electronic recycling collections. Collections are scheduled for Saturday, June 29, 2002 and Saturday, October 12, 2002 from 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. The collections will take place at the Hazardous Waste Facility located at the Nanticoke Landfill, 286 Knapp Road. Collections are open to Broome County residents only, no businesses will be allowed. The following materials will be accepted:
- Monitors, printers, CPU's
- Televisions, VCR'S, stereos
- Laptops, keyboards, two-way radios
- Fax machines and copiers
- Counter top appliances such as coffee makers, toasters, can openers or microwaves
- Telephones or answering machines
- Vacuums, humidifiers or smoke detectors
- Large appliances such as dryers, washing machines, dishwashers, refrigerators or air conditioners.
Electronics are acceptable working or not working.
There is no charge to recycle electronic equipment.
