The Broome County Department of Aviation is excited to announce an excellent business development opportunity at the Greater Binghamton Airport (BGM). Hangar I, a state-of-the-art facility, is available for immediate lease for predominantly aviation-related purposes. This hangar is a key component of the airport's ongoing strategic development plan which aims to expand the nearly 500 jobs and $52.7 million in annual economic activity generated by the airport.
Hangar I is located on approximately 3.5 acres of improved property adjacent to BGM's North Ramp. In addition, direct access is provided to BGM's full parallel Taxiway 'A' which serves BGM's all-weather 7,300 foot primary Runway 16-34. The Hangar itself consists of approximately 28,000 square feet of which 21,000 square feet are aircraft hangar space and 7,000 square feet are shop/office space. The hangar doors open to a dimension of 120' x 30'. Additionally, 40 automobile parking spaces are available in a lot immediately adjacent to the building on its south side. Hangar I was originally constructed in 1994 and completely renovated in 2007 including the installation of a modern heating/air conditioning system, renovation of the office/shop space and a newly painted hangar floor.
