You have landed at the Greater Binghamton Airport Recently, Broome County Executive Jeff Kraham announced final passenger boarding numbers in 2003 for the Greater Binghamton Airport. Read-on for the specifics of this very positive news story: The final tally for all of 2003 showed 130,854 passengers flew from the Greater Binghamton Airport, which is an increase of 11.7% over the 117,117 passengers who boarded in 2002. In consecutive year comparisons, this represents the largest percentage increase achieved at the Greater Binghamton Airport since 1984/1985 according to Broome County Department of Aviation Historical Records. The Air Transport Association has not released December numbers yet, however, through November, nationwide passenger traffic was down 2.6%. Additionally, passenger boarding figures for 2003 not only surpassed 2002 numbers, but it was also the highest value since 1999.
